Plain-language terms for using AlignScan. By using the site you agree to them.
The service
AlignScan is provided free of charge, "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. Alignment results are computed automatically and can be wrong, especially for noisy, partial or featureless scans. Always check the result before using it for manufacturing, measurement or any safety-relevant purpose. We are not liable for loss or damage arising from its use, to the extent the law allows.
Your files
You keep all rights to your files. They are processed only in your browser and are never uploaded to or stored by us. You are responsible for having the right to process the files you open.
Acceptable use
Do not attempt to disrupt the site or use it in ways that break the law. Automated bulk use is not supported.
Third-party links and trademarks
The site links to third-party products and services, some through affiliate links (see the disclosure). Those companies' terms and prices apply, not ours. Product and company names are trademarks of their owners and are used only to identify them.
Changes
We may change the site or these terms at any time. Continued use means you accept the updated terms.
